Full home design and moving plan for young creative and his LA townhouse
“Karen’s ability to visualize and personalize my new space ahead of the move date brought me real peace of mind (which is in short supply during any move). Her sense of interior design made me genuinely excited about the new space and the step by step process made it so much more achievable. I highly recommend and am grateful for her services!”

Philadelphia to Manhattan
Collaborative downsizing home design for fabulous professional couple
“Karen was masterful at helping me organize my space, save money, and reduce my stress in the mad rush of downsizing from a three story, five bedroom house in Philadelphia to a two bedroom apartment in Manhattan. Her inventory of my furniture and renderings of all of our rooms showed what of my favorite furniture pieces would fit in my new home in configurations I would never have imagined and hang artwork in locations that transformed the balance and feel of our whole home. Our neighbors, who all have the same floor plans, have ‘wow’ moments the first time they step into our home. One asked how the dimensions of our living room could be so much larger than theirs. My answer: Our measurements are the same. I just used a fantastic designer.
I was particularly anxious that my galley kitchen would feel like a claustrophobic hallway. Utilizing my kitchen designer’s plans, Karen created renderings and made suggestions for countertop materials and colors. The space is now airy, light, and a joy to spend time in.”

Floor plan and some interior design for a young professional’s first solo place (with Mom’s help)
“Working with Karen was hands down the best thing invested in helping my son move into his new apartment. It removed the stress out of the move when making decisions about furniture fitting and how it would look in the space. From furniture placement to artwork to future furniture purchases, the renderings help take the guesswork out of the move.
I would highly recommend Karen's services for anyone moving into or buying a new space.”

Design and space organization to speed through the hassle of moving
“Like many Londoners, I have far too much stuff than I feasibly should. Without Karen’s help, my move would have been a mess, I would never have found a place for everything, and it would have taken me months before the design of the space reflected me enough to feel like home!”

“River Room” flow design and moving plan for a classic couple
“Faced with the prospect of downsizing from our beloved family home and relocating to another state, I felt overwhelmed and depressed. Fortunately, I reached out to Karen who quickly had me looking forward to the transition with a plan and a vision. I will never forget the look on my husband’s face when he saw the three dimensional design layout with our favorite pices for the ‘river room’. Karen’s plan and advice created calm from the chaos and made our move seamless. We knew exactly what to keep and exactly where to place it. The new house instantly became our home. I never imagined I could love a place more than our old house, but I do. Life is more beautiful, less cluttered, and infinitely more manageable. Seeing truly is believing!”

Design and organization of downsizing a lovely lady to her perfect Swiss apartment with a view
“We raised our family in a large house in Vandoeuvres, and then my husband and I moved to a large flat in town. When it came time to move on my own to a smaller flat, there were too many decisions to make all at once. Karen helped focus me on the questions that needed to be answered in order to accomplish this gargantuan task. She also was able to show me where many of my favorite antiques could be differently placed. I don’t think I would have believed it without seeing her plans. In a matter of days, all of my boxes were unpacked and everything looked exactly as she had shown me they would. Her confident suggestion to move the large bibliothèque from our living room - where it had always been - into my more casual sitting area has meant so much to me. She was right. I feel happily surrounded by the photos of my family and memories and books that are arranged on its shelves and it brings me pleasure and company every day. A thousand thanks to Karen for making this flat a wonderful organized home full of beauty and memories.”

Right-sizing an adorable couple from their family home to a stylish two bedroom apartment
“After fifty years in our beautiful, large home, my husband and I have decided to downsize to a two bedroom apartment. In addition to the emotional attachment and beautiful memories of four children, six grandchildren, and celebrations with family and friends, I was overwhelmed with how to select the furniture to bring with us and what to do with all the accumulation of things in closets, drawers, the basement…etc. Karen Mosimann solved so many of these problems. Her unique design program allowed us to realistically see exactly what our new home would look like. Karen took measurements of our new space and the furniture and art work we wanted to take. It was amazing to actually see our things in our new space! Our decisions were made very easy. Karen’s work assured us that we were making the right decisions…saving time and saving money by not moving items that could not be used. Most of all, Karen is so lovely, creative, organized, and so much fun. I now feel more relaxed, less overwhelmed, and actually excited about our move! Thank you, Karen !!!”

Pre-renovation visualization and collaborative design for special multi-use purposes
“We live in Manhattan and purchased a studio apartment down the hall from our main apartment. The goal was to use the studio as a work from home office and guest suite for our aging parents. Having worked with Karen before, we knew she would be key in getting us through this renovation. She is a design maven, and a responsive, patient, excellent communicator.
When we took possession, the studio looked like a Candyland acid trip with mirrored walls and insane colors on every surface. Karen’s renderings immediately helped us envision the space anew. She was quick to respond to our feedback and had smart solutions on aging-in-place in order to reduce fall risks. We can’t believe the transformation. And most importantly, our parents feel relaxed and at home while visiting us.”
